2014 Easkoot Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Suacci Vineyard

The Blucher Valley is about twelve miles inwards from Bodega Bay on the Pacific ocean. The 6.5 acre Suacci vineyard, with its South Southeastern exposure, produces low yields and tiny clusters. Good stretches of midday sun are countered with a fog that rolls in like clockwork every day at 3:30 and cold winds that keep the vineyard's temperature low at night, allowing for balanced ripeness and good acidity.

From south facing slopes in the Blucher Valley. Harvested September 20th at 22.5 brix. Clones of 777 and 115, using 30% whole cluster of the 777 only. Native fermentation before aging in about 25% new oak. 150 cases made.
