Add another Los Angeles locale to drink the 2011 Easkoot Pinot Noir:  Trattoria Neapolis in Pasadena.

Named by Zagat’s as one of LA’s “12 Hottest New Restaurants”, it’s pretty easy to see why when you look at their menu and wine list. Oh, and the joint looks pretty amazing as well-  just take a gander at their wine room:

Easkoot Sighting: Slanted Door Restaurant / Ferry Plaza Building / San Francisco

19/05/11

Slanted Door RestaurantShould you ever be so fortunate as to successfully lock down at a table at San Francisco’s Slanted Door restaurant, make sure to spend some extra time with the restaurant’s fantastic wine list. Here at this Bay Area staple the idea of matching the right wines the food has been followed with great attention to detail from the days Mark Ellenbogen ran the wine department to now with Chaylee Priete at its helm.

Founded in 1995 on Valencia Street by chef Charles Phan, the restaurant later moved into a large open space designed by Olle Lundberg in San Francisco’s busy Ferry Plaza Building and blossomed from there into a group of restaurants and smaller “out-the-door” eateries. As of this writing, the original Valencia street location will reopen shortly much to the delight of Slanted Door’s loyal following.
